SAIC Software Development Tester in CHANTILLY, Virginia

Description

SAIC is seeking a Software Development Tester SETA to provide SETA support to SAIC’s Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle. All candidates must have an active Top Secret/SCI CI Poly.

As a Software Development Tester SETA , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products throughout the development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with development teams to identify, document, and execute test cases, as well as analyze and report test results. Your background in IV&V will be instrumental in evaluating software systems against established standards and requirements.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Collaborate with development teams to understand software requirements, design specifications, and acceptance criteria.

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and design documents.

  • Execute test cases to ensure software functionality, performance, and reliability.

  • Identify and document defects, issues, and risks, and work with the development team to address them.

  • Conduct thorough regression testing to validate software changes and updates.

  • Perform IV&V activities to evaluate software systems against established standards and requirements.

  • Ensure adherence to the "readiness process" by monitoring and tracking milestones, deliverables, and other key aspects of software development.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate it into the testing process.

  • Generate test reports and provide regular updates on testing progress to project stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, processes, and tools.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's and five (5) years or more experience; Master's and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with CI Polygraph.

  • 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

  • Strong background in Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) methodologies and practices.

  • In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and the "readiness process," including milestones, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.

  • Proficiency in developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
