Description
SAIC is seeking a Technical Writer with previous experience in technical writing to join the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Team.
PNT SE&I provides engineering, integration, technical analysis, and subject matter expertise (SME) support to the US Space Force. As a member of our PNT SE&I Team, you’ll work in a high-paced environment with Government personnel and systems engineers to ensure our technical documents meet the gold standard for technical writing.
Duties Include:
Reviewing and editing documents to ensure they comply with Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force (AF) requirements
Applying technical writing knowledge to implement standardization across PNT SE&I delivered products, including creating processes for periodic and non-periodic deliveries to the Government
Supporting the PNT SE&I Team by researching technical topics and ensuring these topics are written accurately and provide a complete understanding of the technical issues
Preparing and coordinating PNT SE&I delivered products to the Government team, especially ensuring that those products are error-free both technically and grammatically prior to being submitted to the Government
Conducting informational analysis on technical material to help identify trends and improve decision-making processes
Assisting with maintaining a program-wide style guide, document templates, and acronym list
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
2+ years of overall experience
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Products: SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Demonstrated experience with reviewing and editing documents
Demonstrated experience with coordinating and compiling reports
Extremely motivated individual who is a self-starter and works well in a team environment
Strong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams
Excellent analytical and organizational skills, specifically attention to detail
Desired
Current active Secret Clearance
GPS experience is highly desired
Experience and familiarity working with DoD acquisition organizations
Experience working specifically on a Systems Engineering and Integration contract
Experience and familiarity working with military standards and regulations, specifically AF Tongue and Quill
Experience and familiarity with reviewing and editing Government documents
Experience and familiarity with coordinating and compiling reports for Government officials
Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
