SAIC Assistant Project Officer in FORT MOORE, Georgia
Description
SAIC is seeking an Assistant Project Officer to join our team at Fort Moore, Georgia.
This position serves on a team of six personnel that assist with the coordination and logistical support of experimentation and testing for new technology and equipment. Work is in person daily at Fort Moore, Georgia with the Maneuver Battle Lab – Live Experimentation Branch.
Job Description :
Assistant Project Officers will support Project Officers with resources and logistics for experimentation and testing.
Plan and coordinate ammunition, supplies, temporary support personnel, and other resources as required by the Project Officers for ranges and experiments
Responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of facilities maintenance and upkeep
Dispatch vehicles and perform preventive maintenance checks and services to prepare for projects
Serve as a range safety officer for ranges and training areas
Will obtain and must maintain on the job certifications required to support range operations, operate designated equipment, and facilitate equipment and ammunition draws and turn-in.
Qualifications
Required Education :
Bachelors and zero (0) years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Experience :
Familiar with US Army Infantry or Armor training and operations
Experience planning and coordinating ammunition, supplies and temporary support personnel
Must have US Army and Combat Arms experience
Must be able to work day or night, in all types of terrain, and in all conditions
Must be willing to travel to other offsite locations when necessary (travel is rare)
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Required Clearance :
Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
Must be a current US Citizen
Desired Qualifications :
- Commercial Driver’s License and Hazmat certification are preferred
