SAIC Contracts Associate in HUNTSVILLE, Alabama

Our dynamic team of acquisition professionals support key business areas such as Digital Transformation, Engineering & Integration, and Enterprise IT.

SAIC’s Business Enablement organization is seeking a Contracts Associate to provide support of US Army or other Department of Defense Agencies on Time & Material (T&M) or cost type contracts. This person will be responsible for providing support in administering the contract including adherence to terms and conditions, interaction with internal customers in the preparation of cost proposals, and other contract administration duties in accordance with company policy and procedure, applicable laws and sound business judgment. Must be a team player, and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

This position is 100% remote.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Support the completion of Representations and Certifications related to Request for Proposal and contractual requirements

  • Support various Government audit requests and corporate data calls

  • Support development of cost proposals for Category 4 efforts

  • Compile and maintain all required contractual records and documents in accordance with contract requirements and Company policies and procedures. Serve as the official repository for all contractual documentation and correspondence relative to assigned contracts

  • Under the supervision of a Contracts Manager, analyze and prepare various agreements encountered in the business, such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements (TAs), Memorandum of Understanding/Agreement, Strategic Alliances, and others as the opportunity presents

  • Maintain and demonstrate a working understanding of the US Government Acquisition and Procurement environment, Company Contracts function and relevant Company policies and procedures, commercial and international contracting methods, export, and FAR/DFAR and other government regulations

  • Assist senior-level contract representatives with administration of large IDIQ efforts

  • Prepare OCI routing and due diligence searches

Qualifications

Required Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline

  • US Citizenship Required

  • Ability to interface well with internal and external customers

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short turn-around times and handle multiple activities simultaneously

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office package required, particularly with MS Excel and MS Word

  • Effective administrative and organizational skills

  • Effective communication skills

  • Attention to detail
