Description
SAIC is seeking a motivated Entry level IT Project Manager. As an Entry Level IT Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of IT projects within our organization. You will work closely with senior project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management methodologies while contributing to the growth and success of our company.
This position can be worked 100% remote nationwide.
Responsibilities:
Assist senior project managers in planning, organizing, and executing IT projects, ensuring adherence to project goals, objectives, and success criteria.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
Support the development and maintenance of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and assist in implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
Assist in coordinating project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Contribute to the preparation of project status reports, presentations, and documentation.
Participate in project meetings, providing updates, insights, and recommendations.
Support the implementation of project management best practices and process improvements.
Continuously learn and stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and project management methodologies within the IT industry.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a Business - BIT/MIS.
Must be U.S. Citizen
Must be IRS cleared
Strong passion for project management and a desire to develop a career in IT project management.
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Basic understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and concepts.
Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
