The Air Force and Combatant Commands Business Group of SAIC is seeking a NISS Software Developer to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation’s information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).

An active Secret clearance is a requirement for this role

Job Description

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software. Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. End product may be special use, customized, or commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs. Ensures software standards and industry best practices are met. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee).

The software development effort is being conducted with the Agile methodology and is being managed with the Atlassian tool set, including JIRA and Confluence. Experience with Agile is a must, experience with other Atlassian tools is desired. Debugging and troubleshooting or applications, and code review experience is needed.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS with 5 or more years of experience; or additional relevant experience in lieu of degree

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance

  • Agile software development experience

  • Atlassian tool set experience

  • More than three (3) years of Linux experience

  • Three (3) years of Database / MySQL experience

  • Three (3)+ years of Java experience

  • Current Security+ or higher 8570 certification

  • Two (2) years of html/CSS/Angular experience

  • Understanding of Apache/Tomcat

  • RESTful API experience

  • One (1) to two (2) years of iquery/javascript and DOM manipulation/customization

Desired Qualifications

  • MA/MS

  • Seven (7) or more years of experience

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Strong functional/unit testing, troubleshooting and debugging skills

  • Experience with UI/UX web application development

  • General Knowledge of Linux RedHat (RHEL) using CLI

  • Experience with COTS products

Target salary range: $135,001 - $145,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
